Sugar ‘n’ Spice

Our upcoming event next month is themed “Sugar ‘n’ Spice” celebrating all that is femme, female, woman of immigrant identities. Bring your best dancing clothes and come out for another free night of celebration at The Crown (1910 N. Charles St.)  as we gear up for the festival on April 28.

This Wednesday CASA and Roots & Raíces was in DC urging congress to not pass a CR bill if it does not include the Dream Act. We were supporting Jewish organizations that were arrested for civil disobedience for the Dream Act. We talked to Democratic Whip Congessman Hoyer who had agreed to saying no to the bill. At the end we were phone banking in Univision Washington. Today we are on our way back to the Capitol to do more office visits. Keep track of where we are on Twitter @rootsraícesfest
